Nichole Cristilli is an associate of Hiden, Rott & Oertle, LLP, and works in the firm’s San Diego office. Nichole was born in Louisiana and grew up in Colorado where she graduated with a BA in English with Honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
After a career teaching college students in Bucaramanga, Colombia in 2003, she moved back to the US to study at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Finding a passion for litigation she enjoyed competing and placing in multiple mock trial competitions as well as serving as president of the schools division of the American Trial Lawyers Association before graduating in the top 30% of her class in 2008.
Shortly after Nichole passed the California bar exam she started her own law practice with her husband in 2010. Nichole personally handled a wide variety of civil and administrative cases, litigated cases in federal and CA state court, filed Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies and served as in-house counsel to San Diego University for Integrative Studies.
In October 2015 she joined Hiden Rott & Oertle, LLP from her solo practice in hopes of helping even more clients. A longtime friend of the firm, Nichole’s notable successes include a 70,000 lien strip of a mobile home in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and $1,000,000.00 settlement in a real estate law suit involving an underwater mortgage.
Nichole believes foremost in open communication with her clients. This means being widely available to them outside of office hours by cell-phone and email but also means being honest and frank in all communications, particularly those regarding options and outcomes. Her clients find her approach refreshing and supportive.
When she isn’t in the courtroom or the conference room Nichole enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, golfing, volunteering in her children’s classrooms and running her non-profit organization.
